Dumore Acquires Grove Die Casting
February 19, 2015
President/CEO Guillermo “Wil” Fernandez announced that Dumore Corporation located in Mauston, Wisconsin has acquired the assets of Grove Die Casting, Inc., located in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
Now registered as Grove Die Casting LLC, the company is operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Dumore Corporation. According to Fernandez, “the acquisition will help improve our customer responsiveness by significantly reducing lead time for our lower volume aluminum die cast components. In addition, it vertically integrates aluminum die casting capabilities within the State of Wisconsin and moves towards minimizing or eliminating the dependence on an out-of-state or offshore die casting supply chain for our manufactured custom DC motors and industrial tools.”
Grove Die Casting LLC will continue to provide aluminum die casting, targeting customers with demand for low annual volumes and up to 250,000 parts or more requiring a 600 ton capacity press or less.
Dumore Corporation was established in 1913 by Louis Hamilton and Chester Beach, beginning its tradition of turning creative ideas into high-quality products built with better designs and components. Over 100 years later, these same founding principles still drive Dumore today - now a privately held corporation with multiple business units. Dumore Motors manufactures custom fractional horsepower DC motors, gear motors and motor assemblies. Dumore Tools provides some of the highest quality drilling, tapping and grinding tools on the market. Dumore emergency starter solenoids, or battery contactors, for fire pump diesel engines are found worldwide.
Fernandez especially thanks attorney Steve Roy, of the law offices of Geier, Homar & Roy with offices in Wonewoc and Sauk City, WI and Todd Polk, VP of Business Banking at Community First Bank of Reedsburg, WI, for their significant role in making this next step in Dumore’s continuing growth possible.
